Gabble 1.5 Released

July 19th, 2010

A new version of Gabble is out, with so many great new features I had to skip 1.4 and go directly to 1.5! Enhancements include support for Yammer’s new threaded view, “liking,” autocompletion of tags and user names, server-side search, and more! Check out the full release notes here, and grab your copy over on the Gabble page. Enjoy!

  1. Thanks for this! I’d been torn between the Yammer Air app and Gabble for a while, kept switching back and forth only because Yammer’s app had some of these features that were missing. Now, I have no need to go back to that intensive Air app anymore! Thank you!

  2. Woohoo! Thanks for getting the Thread view sorted. I was almost going to Air. Nice work!!

Haven’t worked out yet the UI for Search? Is there a Search box, or just Add saved search to sidebar?

My only other dream feature (for now) would be ability to dock and hide. So I’d have Gabble docked right and when I mouse over the right edge it appears. Gabble is one of my most used applications.

    Solid update Erik, much appreciated.

  4. Thanks Rod. Yes, for now search is only supported through “Add saved search to sidebar”

  5. Great update Erik, the threading works like a charm.

    Thanks heaps!

  6. Our small little Mac team here loves Gabble! Our company uses yammer for almost *everything*, and Gabble lets us keep up.

One thing we would like is if Gabble could handle two accounts at once. We have two yammer accounts/feeds/whatever-they-call-them, one company-wide and one engineering only. Gabble only lets us check one without logging out. I’d be glad to help test an update (hint hint).

Even without that, Gabble is top-notch!
