Welcome!
Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Erik, I'm currently a software engineer working at Pattern Insight. I specialize in user interface design and human computer interaction (HCI). I chose HCI because I like making computers fun and easy to use. Have a look around my site (and feel free to yell at me if you think it's too hard to use/read/navigate).
Interests
Below are some of the things that I like:
Apple
The greatest computer company. One of the rare corporations that actually cares about user experience. Inventors of the Mac, iPod, and iPhone; three revolutionary interfaces that still have yet to be equaled.
Buffalo Bills
The greatest football team. They'll probably win the Super Bowl the next five years in a row. And if not it's just because they want to give other teams a chance.
Cello
The greatest instrument. And I'm not just saying that because I play it. Don't listen to other people who might tell you the bass is the best.
iPhone
The greatest phone of all time. If people tell you magic isn't real, show them an iPhone. If you don't have an iPhone to show them, go purchase one.
Kickers
The best position on a football team. And I'm not just saying that because I was one. Nobody notices or appreciates kickers, until they win the game and get your team all the glory.
Chocolate
Chocolate is great because it's part of all four food groups. It's a vegetable and a protein because it's made from a bean. It's a dairy because of the "milk" in milk chocolate. And I'm sure it has grain in there somewhere.
Lifting
According to research, lifting only works if it's done before 6 am. That's why football coaches make you get up at 5 am to lift. I still lift but not at 6 am anymore. Maybe that's why I can't bench as much as I used to.
